The well loved American poet, Mary Oliver, died this past January at the age of 83. Well known for her celebration of nature, she urged us to pay attention, to cherish the beauty around us. Vermont is the perfect place to celebrate her work.
On Tuesday, July 23, we will gather in the library at 7 pm to share favorite poems by this amazing poet. Bring your favorites or browse the collections in the library. Copies of many of Mary Oliver’s poems will be available. Join in the reading or come to listen. If you have a favorite Mary Oliver poem that you’d like to read, sign up at the library and reserve it.
