Unstitched Book Discussion with the Author

The opioid epidemic has hit people in communities large and small and across all socio-economic classes. What should each of us know about it, and do about it?  Brett Stanciu’s new narrative non-fiction book Unstitched moves readers from feelings of helplessness and blame into empathy, helping friends, family, and community members separate the disease of addiction from the person underneath.  Stanciu’s journey leads to compassionate generosity, renewed faith, and ultimately a measure of personal redemption as she realizes she has a role to play in helping the people of her community stitch themselves back together.

Brett Stanciu will lead a book discussion of Unstitched on Sunday, October 3 at 4pm.  The discussion will take place at the Craftsbury Public Library event tent, so dress according to the weather.

Books are available at the Galaxy Bookshop’s book release in the Hardwick Town House on September 14, at local book stores, and at area libraries.
