Freedom & Unity: a Discussion on Democracy in Vermont

A new graphic guide to democracy in Vermont, Freedom & Unity, was developed by the Center for Cartoon Studies and the Vermont Humanities Council.  Copies are now available to pick up for free at the Craftsbury Public Library.  This guide gives an introduction to how democracy works in our state, from Town Meeting to the State House.

The Craftsbury Public Library and the Craftsbury Academy 5th grade civics class is pleased to host local leaders, including State Representative Katherine Sims, at the Craftsbury Public Library on January 9 at 12:30.  Our speakers will discuss how democracy works in our town and our state, and there will be plenty of time for questions.

Everyone is welcome to stop in to pick up a copy of Freedom & Unity, and the public is invited to participate in the discussion on democracy in Vermont on January 9.

For more information, please contact the library at 802-586-9683 or director@craftsburypubliclibrary.org.
