Easter Quest 2020: A Socially-Distant Alternative to the Traditional Egg Hunt

Calling all young at heart! Hidden around the Common are a dozen Easter Eggs. If you can find all of them, you will earn a prize! Each paper egg features a different country and describes a special Easter tradition from that land. During this challenge, you will travel around the world without leaving Craftsbury Common.
Easter Quest is designed to be a solo adventure. It can also be done together with members of your own household. Reading skills are required. The locations of each egg are marked by red circles on this map. All eggs are within walking distance of Craftsbury Common. Eggs will be set up next to orange and white orienteering control flags to make them easier to spot. They will look like this:
When you find an egg, don’t touch it. Simply read the information and leave it for others to find. We recommend you bring your own pen and note paper so you can keep track of which eggs you have found. Make a note of the egg’s number, the country featured, and the Easter tradition described. When you have found all 12, you can submit your list by email to the Craftsbury Public Library to get directions to your prize: an Easter basket filled with goodies from your neighbors!
The eggs are out now and will be left out until the end of the day on Monday April 13. This is not a race; search for the eggs at your own pace. You can try to find all of them at once or spread the quest out over several days. If you encounter other people during your quest, please respect the 6 ft distancing guidelines and do not congregate around the eggs.
Happy hunting and Happy Easter!
